MADISONVILLE, Ky. (3/11/13) – On Monday morning, just minutes after midnight, Central Dispatch contacted Madisonville Police regarding an accident on McCoy Avenue.
 
Officers responded to the alert and found that Glendell D. Phelps II, 24, of Nortonville, had been traveling eastbound on McCoy when the vehicle hydroplaned on a pool of water. Phelps attempted to gain control of the vehicle, but ended up traveling down an embankment, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
 
Phelps complained of neck and right wrist pain and was transported to Baptist Health for evaluation of injuries.
 
The Madisonville Fire Department assisted Madisonville Police at the scene.
