Madisonville Community College Announces Adult Learner College Fair and Open House

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/10/13) – Madisonville Community College (MCC) will host an Adult Learner College Fair & Open House on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Brown Badgett, Sr. Energy and Advanced Technology Center located on MCC’s North Campus at 2000 College Drive in Madisonville.
 
The event will offer non-traditional students first-hand information about MCC and the Kentucky Community Technical College System (KCTCS). Representatives will be sharing:
 
• How to apply for admission
• How, when, and where to apply for financial aid
• The degree, diploma, and certificate options available
• Convenient campus locations
 
Representatives from academic advising, admissions, financial aid counselors, adult education, disability resources, Workforce Transitions, Ready to Work, Work & Learn, and Accelerating Opportunity will be available. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with academic program faculty, including Physical Therapist Assistant, Business Administration, Advanced Integrated Technology, Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, Information Technology, Nursing, and Surgical Technology.
 
Transfer students are encouraged to bring their college transcripts for evaluation. Representatives from Murray State University, Lindsey Wilson College, and Western Kentucky University will be on hand to discuss transfer options and scholarships.
 
“Whether this is your first semester or you’re returning to the classroom after being out awhile, this is a great opportunity to speak face to face with college representatives and get the answers you need,” according to Aimee Wilkerson, MCC’s Director of Enrollment Management.
 
Refreshments will be served and those attending may register to win a Kindle Fire HD.
