MCC Recognizes Outstanding Students

mcc outstanding 300HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (5/22/13) – Madisonville Community College (MCC) proudly recognized its 2013 outstanding students during the annual Honors Night event. Students from Hopkins County are:
 
•Cassandra Schneider of Nebo was named as one of two Outstanding Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education Students.
•Debbi Bryant of Madisonville was named as the Outstanding Humanities Student in Women’s Studies.
•Jordan Love of Earlington was named Outstanding Math Student and Learning Center Tutor of the Year.
•Julie Beitler of Madisonville was the recipient of the MCC Lions Club award.
•Katie Appleby of Mortons Gap was the recipient of the MCC Student Abroad Scholarship.
•Mary J. Paris of Dawson Springs was named the TRiO Student Support Services Student of the Year.
•Megan Law of Madisonville was named the Outstanding Business Transfer Student; Samantha Gordon of Manitou was named the Outstanding Business Student in Human Resources.
•Lauren Purdy and Nathan Woodruff, both of Madisonville, were recognized as All-USA Academic Team Nominees.
•Abigail Gregory of Madisonville was the recipient of the MCC Student Abroad Scholarship (no photo available).
 
Gardner Awards were presented to the following recipients
-Occupational Therapy Assistant – Brittany Bryant of Nortonville
-Physical Therapist Assistant – Hannah Jacobs of Hanson
 
•Bryan Carter of Madisonville was named the Outstanding Welding Students.
•Callie Gates was named the Outstanding Humanities Student in History.
•Lauren Purdy, of Madisonville, was recognized as All-USA Academic Team Nominee.
•Sylvia Chase of Earlington was awarded the Multicultural Student Association award.
•Zackary Boarman of Madisonville was named the Outstanding Information Technology Student.
