HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (12/2/11) – On Friday morning, just after midnight, Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to the scene of a one-vehicle accident reported on Brown Road, approximately 6 miles east of Madisonville.
Once on the scene, Troopers found that 43-year-old Donald D. Gossett of Greenville, KY had been traveling west on KY 254 when the right side tires of his vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway causing Gossett to overcorrect. Gossett then crossed the center line and exited the left side of the roadway striking a ditch, and then striking a concrete culvert, causing Gossett’s vehicle to spin around and come to rest facing east on the left side of the roadway.
Gossett was wearing his seatbelt and was transported by Med Center EMS to Regional Medical Center in Madisonville for treatment of his injuries sustained in the collision.
