Madisonville Fire Dept. Fire Report: 2-Vehicle Accident on Pennyrile

 

accident w injuries redMADISONVILLE, KY (1/20/12) – On Thursday, Jan. 19, at approximately 7:16 PM, the Madisonville Fire Department (MFD) received alarm from Central Dispatch for a motor vehicle accident on the Pennyrile Parkway 42 mile marker, with possible injuries.
 
Upon arrival, fire crews found a 2-vehicle accident with both occupants out of the vehicles. One occupant complained of head pain. The occupant of the other vehicle stated he was uninjured. Engine-17 crew assessed occupant complaining of head pain and A C-Collar was applied. The occupant was immobilized on long spine board.
 
Upon Medical Center Ambulance Service arrival, patient care was turned over to M.C.A.S. crew.
 
Batteries were disconnected on both vehicles and fire crews swept debris from roadway. A Kentucky State Police unit on the scene advised that fire crews could clear the scene. No further action was taken and all units returned to service.
