MURRAY, KY (2/20/12) – The following is your weekly update on arrests and activity by the Cadiz Police Department.
On Feb. 16, at approximately 10:21 PM, 59-year-old Paducah resident, Norris Radford, was arrested on charges of alcohol intoxication. According to police officials, officers received a report of a man lying in the grass off Martindale Street. Officer located a Radford who was intoxicated to the point he didn't know where he was or who he was staying with.
Also on Feb. 16, at around 10:51, 45-year-old Kenneth Evans of Cadiz failed to dim headlights when he met an officer on Main Street. The officer could smell odor of alcoholic beverage and investigated further. Evans failed four FST and refused to take an Intoxilyzer test to determine Breath Alcohol Content. Court records show Evans was shock probated in Caldwell County in 2007 on felony charges and a DUI charge there.
On Feb. 17, at approximately 9:23 PM, Cadiz Police received a report of a subject striking a road sign on Main Street near Line Street intersection. Julie Colemen, 49, of Cadiz was located on Anna Street. She had driven over a mile on a flat tire and had run off the road at the intersection of Cunningham Avenue and Shelby Street. Colemen failed three FST and admitted to taking Lortab prior to driving. Colemen was arrested and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. That case is still pending in Trigg County District Court.
On Feb. 18, Jacob E. Jessup, 23, of Cadiz was served a Trigg County Circuit Court indictment warrant for Trafficking a Controlled Substance within 1,000 yards of a school. The charges stem from a Kentucky State Police investigation. Bond was set at $5,000.00.
