Social Services Report Results in Drug Arrests

arrest1 300KUTTAWA, KY (4/2/12) – On March 30, 2012 Kentucky State Police (KSP) received a call from the Department of Social Services requesting assistance at a residence on Locust Street in Kuttawa, Kentucky. Social Services received a report of a juvenile that was living at that address in unsafe conditions.
 
A KSP Trooper spoke with the owner of the residence, Dena McGregor, who stated she lived at the residence with her 14-year-old child and a couple of friends, Amber Gillespie and Michael Brewer. After the Trooper saw drug paraphernalia in plain view, further search of the residence revealed more drug paraphernalia and 2 grams of Methamphetamine ($200 street value).
 
A .22 caliber rifle was also found in the residence.
 
Amber Gillespie was cited into court for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
 
Michael Brewer was arrested and charged for Possession of Firearm by convicted felon, Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation.
 
Dena McGregor was charged with Possession of controlled substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, Drug paraphernalia, Possession of firearm by convicted felon, and failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation.
 
Social Services removed the child from the house. The investigation is being continued by Kentucky State Police officials.
