Hit and Run Arrest

arrest jail 300LYON COUNTY, KY (4/2/12) – On March 30, 2012, at approximately 12:05 PM, Kentucky State Police officials received a call reporting a hit and run accident at the North Welcome station in Land Between the Lakes.
 
The caller identified the vehicle and gave the license number. Troopers in the area attempted to locate the vehicle near the residence of the registered owner. Trooper Lewie Dodd observed the vehicle at the intersection of US 62 and KY 810 South. Trooper Dodd initiated his emergency equipment and attempted to stop the vehicle. The female driver ignored his emergency equipment and proceeded on KY 810 South and then turned on Chestnut Oak Rd. She finally stopped at her residence where she was taken into custody without incident.
 
The suspect, 43-year-old Joyce Lowe of Kuttawa, KY was arrested and charged with Fleeing and Evading 1st Degree 1st Offense, Leaving the Scene of an accident, DUI 3rd Offense Aggravated, Driving DUI suspended 1st Offense aggravated, Possession of Open Alcohol Container in motor vehicle, and Failure to Produce Insurance.
 
Lowe was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
