TRIGG COUNTY, KY (4/19/12) – In the early morning hours of Thursday, April 19, Trigg County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Sheriff Ray Burnam received a tip of alleged drug activity on Wood Avenue in Cadiz.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted an immediate investigation and were able to obtain enough evidence to gain an Arrest Warrant for (Trafficking in Marijuana) and A Search Warrant of the residence.
The Search led to finding Marijuana, Pills and Crack Cocaine. Deputy Mark Nichols arrested 23-year-old Russell Lancaster of Wood Avenue and charged him with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st (Crack Cocaine), Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st (Lortabs), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering With Physical Evidence (2 Counts), Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Original Container 1st.
TCSO was assisted by County Attorney Randall Braboy, Cadiz Police Officer Michael Ayers, KSP K9 Officer Michael Sandbrink and his Drug Dog, Boss.
Sheriff Burnam has stated that he would like to thank the community for putting forth such tips that lead to arrests of criminals in the Trigg County area.
