Local Music Teacher Retires

marshall county logoMARSHALL COUNTY, KY (4/30/12) – Recently Danny Davis, Facilities and Transportation Director has announced his retirement after 27 years in education. Danny has been a music teacher in elementary and middle school, assistant band director, High School Band Director, and Facilities Director for the Marshall County School System before the last 5 years as the Director of Facilities and Transportation.
 
Mr. Davis’s replacement was announced today. Mr. Ricky Jones current Human Resources Director will take over the position of Director of Facilities and Transportation.
 
Mr. Jones a former math teacher, A- school teacher, Assistant High School Principal and also High School Principal will bring with him over 22 years’ experience in the Marshall County School System. Mr. Jones statement was that this is the position he plans to retire in, but he also stated that he said that in the last two positions he has been in.
 
Mr. Jones also stated that his main concern as it has been in several of his positions is to follow his predecessors because Danny Davis has done an excellent job.
