Two-Vehicle Accident with Injuries in Cadiz

caracident5 7 300CADIZ, KY (5/7/12) – On Sunday, May 6, 2012, at approximately 11:35 AM, Cadiz Police Department officials responded to the scene of an accident with possible injuries at the intersection of Main Street and US 68 in Cadiz.
 
Once on the scene, Police officials found that 74-year-old Greta Harralson of Cadiz turned left from Main Street onto HWY 68 into the path of 54-year-old Paul McKenzie of Madisonville, KY. McKenzie’s truck collided with the driver’s side of Harralson’s car.
 
Harralson and two juvenile passengers were transported to Trigg County Hospital. Harralson was treated for serious head injuries, and was later transported to a Nashville hospital. The two juveniles were treated for minor injuries and released to family.
 
All drivers and passengers were reported to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
 
The highway was partially blocked for approximately 35 minutes.
 
Trigg County EMS and Trigg County Rescue Squad assisted the Cadiz Police at the scene.
