Motorcycle Accident with Injuries on Grooms Lane

motorcycle crash 300MURRAY, KY (5/7/12) – On Saturday, May 5, 2012, at approximately 3:25 PM, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Sgt. Trent Weaver and Trooper Tim Sales responded to a report of a motorcycle accident on Grooms Lane.
 
Once on the scene, Trooper Sales deduced that 18-year-old Mitchell Coleman, of Princeton, was riding a 2003 Honda off-road motorcycle, traveling east, when he lost control and fell from his motorcycle. Coleman struck the roadway and the motorcycle traveled off the left shoulder, where it came to final rest on its left side.
 
Coleman was not wearing a helmet and suffered head injuries. He was flown from the scene to the Vanderbilt University Hospital, in Nashville, TN, by PHI Air Medical helicopter.
 
The collision is being investigated by Sgt. Weaver. Sgt. Weaver was assisted on the scene by Trooper Tim Sales, Caldwell Co. Deputy Mike Evans, the Caldwell Co. EMS, and the Princeton-Caldwell Co. Fire Dept.
