Lamasco, KY Man Arrested for Auto Theft and Shoplifting

arrest  cartwrightKUTTAWA, KY (5/31/12) - On May 29, 2012 at approximately 3:30 PM, Kuttawa resident Bobbie Hall reported that her 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck had been stolen from her residence.
 
Kentucky State Police responded to the complaint and developed a person of interest, 44-year-old Stephen M. Cartwright of Lamasco, KY.
 
In the morning hours of May 30, 2012, Oak Grove Police Department arrested Stephen M. Cartwright and a second person for shoplifting at the Wal-Mart in Oak Grove, KY. They were in possession of the stolen pickup truck.
 
Master Trooper C. G. Anderson obtained a warrant for Theft by Unlawful Taking (Vehicle) and charged Cartwright. He remains lodged in the Christian County Jail. Investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police and Oak Grove Police Department.
