Collision Claims Man’s Life

fatal accidentGRAVES COUNTY, KY (7/2/12) – Kentucky State Police were called to the scene of a traffic collision Sunday afternoon at 4:21 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that 30-year-old Timothy Galbreath of Mayfield had lost control of his 2002 Ford Focus while travelling east on KY 464.

The KSP report states that the vehicle left the road near the intersection of KY 464 and KY 1710, overturned and went into a ditch. Galbreath was ejected from the vehicle due to not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coroner Phillip McClain. Speed was listed as a factor in the report as a cause of this collision according to witnesses and preliminary investigation.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Brian Hill was assisted by Senior Trooper Trevor Pervine, Mayfield-Graves County Ambulance Service and Mayfield-Graves County Fire and Rescue.
