State Park Auction at Lake Barkley

barkley lake resort 300CADIZ, KY (7/3/12) – Kentucky State Parks is hosting a surplus auction later this month at Lake Barkley.

The auction will include, but not be limited to, items such as tractors, golf carts, sofas, dining room sets, paddle boats, mowers, bedroom suites, lamps, commercial kitchen equipment, dishes and more.

The July 13 auction will be at Lake Barkley State Resort Park near Cadiz, across the road from the pro shop. The auction will start at 9 a.m. Items may be inspected on the day of the auction starting at 7:30 a.m.

The Kentucky State Park System is composed of 50 state parks plus an interstate park shared with Virginia. The Department of Parks, an agency of the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, operates 17 resort parks with lodges -- more than any other state. For more information on Kentucky parks, visit the website at http://www.parks.ky.gov.
