TRAFFIC ALERT – WK Parkway Exit Closure

trafficalert purple 300PRINCETON, KY (10/24/12) – As part of ongoing upgrades along I-69/The WK Parkway, a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close the I-69/ WK Parkway eastbound exit ramp at the Exit 12 Interchange with KY 91 at Princeton on Thursday, October 25, 2012.

The closure of the eastbound exit ramp is to allow the ramp to be paved as part of the ongoing work along the main line of I-69/The WK Parkway.

The eastbound exit ramp to KY 91 at Princeton-Marion Exit 12 is expected to close at approximately 6:00 a.m., CDT, on Thursday, and remain closed until about 7:00 p.m., Thursday.

There will be no marked detour. However, eastbound motorists on I-69/The WK Parkway who wish to access KY 91 at Exit 12 may take the US 68 Eddyville-Princeton Exit 4, or they may go to the KY 293 Exit at Princeton and loop around the interchange to access KY 91 via the westbound exit ramp.

Motorists should continue to use appropriate caution along I-69/The WK Parkway due to ongoing paving and other construction activities in the Princeton area. Sign crews are continuing to work at various locations along this section of I-69/The WK Parkway between Interstate 24 at Eddyville and the Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway near Madisonville.
