Multiple Vehicle Accident at Intersection of US 45 and KY 849

Accident Injury 01 gold 300GRAVES COUNTY, KY (11/28/12) – At approximately 10:48 AM today, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Troopers responded to a report of a multiple vehicle accident with potential injuries.
 
According to KSP officials, 19-year-old Raeann Garnett of Hickory Kentucky was eastbound on KY 849 while 46-year-old Melissa Harrison of Fulton Kentucky was northbound on US 45. Garnett did not see Harrison when she attempted to cross the highway, thus striking Harrison’s vehicle. Harrison’s vehicle rolled over, coming to a final stop just off the side of the roadway.
 
Harrison’s passenger, 69-year-old Carolyn Jones of Hickman, KY, was transported to Jackson Purchase Med Center by Mayfield/Graves County EMS. Raeann Garnett was transported to Jackson Purchase Med Center by Family.
 
KSP was assisted on scene by the Grave County Sheriff’s Office, Mayfield/Graves County EMS, Viola Fire Department and Graves County Rescue.
 
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
