Fiber Optic Line Installation Creates Temporary Traffic Restrictions on FS Roads

lane closures and restrictions 300GOLDEN POND, Ky. (2/2/13) – Visitors to Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area will encounter lane restrictions along Forest Service Road 165 (near Wranglers Campground) for approximately 30 days beginning Monday, February 4, 2013. The lane restriction is to allow installation of fiber optic lines and conduit in the road to improve communications on the Forest.

Motorists can expect to encounter one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers and barricades. Please use caution when traveling through this area.

Forest Service Road 134 (Energy Lake Dam) will continue to be closed through February 8. Barricades will remain in place until the work is complete. Both boat ramps are now available for use with access from US68/KY80 only.

This information, along with other updates, can be found under Alerts & Notices on the official website at www.lbl.org.
