TRAFFIC ALERT – Road Closure at Livingston Crittenden Line

road closed red 300CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ky. (2/25/13) – A contractor for the Livingston County Road Department plans to close Shelby Road/Axel Creek Road at the Livingston-Crittenden County line starting Monday, February 25th.
 
This closure is to allow a major reconstruction of the Claylick Creek Bridge at the county line.
 
This closure point is 5 miles south of Salem beyond the state maintained section of KY 133 on Shelby Road. The closure point is 2.5 miles north of KY 70 on Axel Creek Road from the Crittenden County side.
 
The detour for this closure is via KY 70, KY 855/Tyner’s Chapel Road and US 60. Bridge end to Bridge end requires about a 20 mile detour.
 
The Claylick Creek Bridge is expected to be closed about 2 weeks for major repair work.
