CCPS Students Selected as 2013 Governor’s Scholars Recipients

GOV SCHOLAR PROGCHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (4/16/13) – Congratulations to the eleven CCPS high school juniors that have been selected to attend the Governor’s Scholars Program and the seven juniors chosen as alternates. Alternates could receive invitations to attend the program at a later date.

The Governor's Scholars Program strives to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders and to create models of educational excellence for teachers and students. The program provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience.
    
Those selected attend the program free of charge. Selection for the program is highly competitive. The 2013 sessions are to be hosted by Bellarmine University in Louisville, Murray State University in Murray, and Centre College.
