Cadiz Police Officer Promoted to Sergeant

chad grace triggCADIZ, Ky. (5/14/13) – Cadiz Police Chief Chad Grace has announced the promotion of Officer Scott Brown to sergeant effective May 15, 2013.

Brown is an 18-year veteran of the Cadiz Police Department and has served as the public information officer for the past two years.

His other duties include data and research for the department and grant writing. He also oversees the department’s traffic safety program that is funded through a grant from the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety.

“I think Scott will do a great job in his new role. He will now be one of three supervisors here who have more than 18 years of police experience each,” said Chief Grace, who added that Brown will continue in his current role as public information officer and will help oversee the day to day activities at the police department.

“I feel that Scott has earned the promotion through his hard work and dedication to the citizens of Cadiz and the Cadiz Police Department,” Chief Grace said.

The Cadiz Police Department has nine full-time officers and one part-time officer.

SurfKY News is honored to congratulate Sergeant Brown on his promotion.
