Cadiz Man Arrested on Charges of Drugs and Endangering a Minor

arrest sarnacki 300CADIZ, Ky. (6/4/13) – Cadiz Police arrested Cody Sarnacki, 20, of 14805 Old Dover Road, Cadiz on June 2, 2013, at approximately 10:36 PM.

Officer Aaron Acree stopped Sarnacki for a traffic violation on Main Street. Upon initial contact, Officer Acree smelled an odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officer Acree conducted a roadside investigation during which time Sarnacki failed three field sobriety tests (FST) and admitted to smoking marijuana prior to the stop.

A blood sample was taken at Trigg County Hospital and forwarded to the Kentucky State Police Crime Lab for analysis.

Sarnacki is charged with DUI - First Offense; Possession of Marijuana; No Insurance; Failure to use a Turn Signal, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

There was a 13-year-old passenger in the vehicle in which the driver was arrested for DUI and a small amount of marijuana was found.
