Local Woman Arrested for DUI after Multiple Collisions

DUI ARREST3 300CADIZ, Ky. (6/13/13) – On June 12, at approximately 3:26 PM, Officer Randy Clark arrested Julie C. Coleman, 51, of 254 Anna Street in Cadiz on charges of DUI - 2nd Offense; Leaving the Scene of an Accident; and Failure to Maintain Insurance.

Officer Clark received a report of a vehicle that struck a parked car on Cunningham Avenue. Further investigation revealed that Coleman struck a tree with the passenger side of her vehicle at the intersection of Anna Street and Cunningham Avenue. She then proceeded north on Cunningham Avenue and struck a mailbox and then the parked van that was unoccupied.

It was determined Coleman was under the influence of prescription medication and could not complete a field sobriety test. She was taken to Trigg County Hospital for a blood sample that was then forwarded to the Kentucky State Police lab for analysis.

Coleman was not injured in the crash.

She was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
