Shooting Investigation in Carlisle County

shooting investigation 300CARLISLE COUNTY, Ky. (6/17/13) – On Friday, June 14, 2013, at approximately 6:45 PM, Kentucky State Police received a 911 call from Carlisle County Deputy Coroner Laura Pender in reference to a shooting that took place outside of her residence.

Pender explained to the 911 Dispatchers that her husband, Jay Pender, 43, of Milburn, had been involved in an altercation with her brother, and the altercation ended with gunfire.  The altercation and subsequent shooting led to the death of Scott Daniel McBride, 49, of Milburn.

Detective Kyle Nall of the Kentucky State Police is leading the investigation with the assistance of Graves County Coroner Philip McClain and the Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office.

At this time, no charges have been filed; however, the investigation is ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available.
