Greenville Man Arrested for Meth at Traffic Stop

arrest  garrettMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (8/5/13) – On Sunday, August 4, at approximately 9:58 PM, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Troopers stopped a man at a traffic safety checkpoint on 181 North, within the Greenville city limits.

During the traffic stop, Troopers found that 41-year-old Johnny Wade Garrett of Greenville was operating a vehicle that was stopped at the checkpoint.  Through investigation, Garrett was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.  He was also found to be in possession of Methamphetamine, that he was using to distribute and ingest.

Garrett was also served with an active Parole Violation Warrant.  

Garrett was lodged at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.  

Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department.
