Police Respond to Vehicle Fire

flames1 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/2/13) – This morning at approximately 2 a.m., the Owensboro Police Department responded to a vehicle fire in the 500 block of Maple Street.

Upon arrival, a 1997 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle had smoke coming from its interior. Members from the Owensboro Police Department Hazardous Devices Unit and Evidence Collection Unit were called to the scene. Items located inside the vehicle are leading investigators to believe this was an act of arson. The vehicle was unoccupied and there were no injuries reported.
