Graves County Man Arrested on Marijuana Growth Charges

drug arrest marijuana 03 300HICKORY, Ky. (9/5/13) – On September 4, 2013, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at 6827 State Route 1748 West in Graves County.
 
During a search of the premises, State Police located a marijuana grow with an estimated street value of $5,000, along with processed marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several firearms.
 
Kentucky State Police have charged Michael L. Burgess (age 49 Fancy Farm) with Cultivating in Marijuana (5 Plants or more) 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violating a Kentucky Emergency Protective Order.
 
Burgess was lodged in the Graves County Detention Center by Trooper Trevor Pervine who continues the investigation.
 
Kentucky State Police was assisted with the warrant service by the Mayfield Police Department.
