sheffield 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (10/4/13) – The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center recently awarded Edwina Sheffield as “Employee of the Month!”

Ms. Sheffield is always seeking ways to improve the academic and career technical instruction provided to our students. This desire for improvement is not limited to the instruction in her class. She understands that she is part of a team, and the success of our students depends on all of us working together.

Over the past few months, Ms. Sheffield has been working with the Health Careers instructors to design a curriculum and improve the efficiency of the instruction delivered to students in their classes. Sheffield was very enthusiastic and willing to share her considerable knowledge in curriculum and lesson design with the instructors. She spent many hours learning the needs of the instructors and their students and creating materials that will help the students achieve their goals in their trades and academics.

This undertaking is a perfect example of how collaboration between the academic and career technical training instructors benefits our students, and Ms. Sheffield took the initiative to make it happen. The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center and contractor Horizons Youth Services are proud to have Ms. Sheffield on board!
