marshall county school 300BENTON, Ky. (11/5/13) — South Marshall Middle School will be hosting a Parent Involvement Night on from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 that is open to the whole community. There will be a FREE chili supper, along with a Holiday Bazaar vendor event, and a Family Reading Night.

Parents of students that attend SMMS will also be able to attend question and answer sessions about their child's EXPLORE test scores, their child's ILP, and also get information about logging into the new SMMS website and the parent portal. Everyone is invited to attend the chili supper and visit our vendors at the Bazaar. The Bazaar will have vendors from Discovery Toys, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Tupperware and more. The vendors will have unique holiday gift ideas for those "hard to buy for" people in your life. When you shop at the bazaar you will not only be buying local, but you will also be supporting the school, because a part of all of the proceeds will go to SMMS. There will be door prizes given out throughout the night as well. In the library, we will also be having a Scholastic Book Fair, where you will find more gift giving ideas, and all purchases will help us reach our goal of selling 250 books. We are looking forward to a fun-filled event for all members of our community.

The South Marshall Middle School Beta Club will be sponsoring child care services throughout the evening. If you are interested in taking advantage of this service, please contact the school office for more information.
