The Sheriff’s Department is crediting the community for the successful results.

In the spring of 2013, the department launched an awareness effort that consisted of news articles, media ads and public presentations. During the awareness efforts, Muhlenberg County residents were encouraged to contact law enforcement with information regarding illegal drug activity.

“There is no way we can produce these kinds of results without community involvement,” said McGehee.

McGehee asks that residents continue to report illegal drug activity at www.muhlenbergcountysheriff.com or by dialing 1-888-959-8477.

Central City Police, Powderly Police, Kentucky State Police, Greenville Police and Constable Denny Blythe assisted the Task Force and the Sheriff’s Department in the roundup.
