Benton Middle Schools Create History Projects

addi history 300BENTON, Ky. (12/18/13) — Mr. Harvey's World History students at Benton Middle School recently completed shoe box diorama projects.  Each nine weeks, the students are assigned a hands-on history project to complete.

The second nine weeks students took a shoe box and picked a historical time period.  They then created a scene inside the show box from their chosen historical period.  Students pasted information about their scene on the outside of the box.  The students did an excellent job.

Their projects were evaluated on criteria such as accuracy of their scene, creativity, evidence of hard work, etc. Shown in photo is Addi Griffith.
