chevy fire(Photo by Shawn Freels SurfKY News)CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (2/19/14) — When Dakota Rager pulled his Chevy 2500 pickup over at the Always Open Market at the corner of U.S. 431 and U.S. 62 in Central City, he ended up with drastic mechanical difficulties.

However, Rager's truck caught fire under the hood and help was summoned from the local fire department.

Central City Fire Chief Ricky King said when units arrives on the scene, the truck's engine compartment was fully involved.

A pumpertruck was able to extinguish the blaze. King said the fire did not endanger the gasoline pumps at the store.

Central City Police assisted CCFD at the scene.
