Cadiz Police Arrest Log - February 24, 2014

cadiz police arrest6 300CADIZ, Ky. (2/24/14) — The Cadiz Police Department released the following reports Monday, Feb. 24.

Sgt. Scott Brown arrested Angela M. Lewis, 36, of Cadiz woman at 7:35 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, and served her a Hopkins County District Court arrest warrant charging her with probation violation stemming from theft charges there.

Officer Randy Clark arrested Franklin D. Keeling, 18, of Cadiz, at 7:14 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, and charged him with Alcohol Intoxication and Criminal Trespass – third degree. Police were called to a Cunningham Avenue home in reference to Keeling being there against the wishes of his ex-girlfriend, who lives there.  Keeling was located in the backyard and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol.

Officers Roger Knight and Andrew Sanderson arrested James D. Oliver, 39, of Cadiz at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 and charged him with DUI – second offence and careless driving. Oliver was stopped on U.S. 68 for driving erratically between lanes.  Once stopped, officers determined Oliver was under the influence after he failed four field sobriety tests.  After his arrest, he registered a .157 BRAC.

Officer Aaron Acree arrested Tresa T. Hooks, 55, of Cadiz at 1:33 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 and charged her with DUI – first offense and expired registration.  Hooks was stopped for having an expired tag on her vehicle while driving on Glendale Drive.  Officer Acree could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle.  Hooks failed four FST and following her arrest, registered a .104 BRAC.

Officer Aaron Acree arrested Mathew W. Gibbs, 22, of Louisville, at 4:57 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 and charged him with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and possession of an open alcohol container. Gibbs was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for driving erratically on Glendale Drive.  Officer Acree and Officer Andrew Sanderson could smell an odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle after making contact with the driver.  Officers received consent to search the vehicle and found a small amount of suspected marijuana in the area where Lynsey R. Gibbs, 24, of Collinsville, Ill., was sitting.  Officer Sanderson cited her for possession of marijuana.  During this time, Mathew Gibbs became disorderly with officers and began to yell while officers questioned him.  He was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and an open alcohol container was found in the vehicle where he was sitting.
