MARION, Ky. (3/18/14) — The Kentucky State Police charged a St. Louis man with receiving stolen property after recovering a stolen vehicle.
According to a KSP report, KSP Post 2 Madisonville received a call at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 in reference to a stolen vehicle, a 2004 GMC Envoy, which had been reported stolen from Paducah this morning. The stolen vehicle was possibly in the area of Kentucky 91 near the ferry boat ramp.
Trooper First Class Darron Holliman responded to the area to attempt to locate the vehicle.
Holliman located the vehicle on Kentucky 91 and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Kentucky 135 and Flannery Road. At 11:36 a.m., Holliman arrested John P. Hallows, 39, of St. Louis, Mo., and charged him with receiving stolen property $10,000 or more, a Class C Felony; possession of marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor; and, operating on a suspended/revoked license, a Class B Misdemeanor.He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
