armed robbery 300UPDATE: Murray Police Arrest One Suspect in Robbery.

MURRAY, Ky. (4/4/14) — One suspect in Wednesday night’s robbery at Campus Evolution Apartments has been apprehended.

Amairi Cook, 19, of Paris Tennessee, came to the Murray Police Department where he was arrested, without incident, after learning of an active arrest warrant for him.  

Cooks charges include, Robbery 1st degree, Burglary 1st degree, Assault 1st degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500 dollars.

A second suspect is being sought in connection to the robbery.

The investigation continues.

MURRAY, Ky. (4/4/14) — Officers with the Murray Police Department responded to Campus Evolution North Apartments in reference to an armed robbery in progress around 10:51 p.m. April 3.

Once there, officers were advised two black male suspects had forcefully entered the residence, brandished a handgun, and demanded money and other valuables from the five people inside.

During the altercation, three of the people received injuries, but declined medical treatment on scene. One of the victims sought treatment at a later time for his injuries. An undisclosed amount of property and money was taken and the suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival. No shots were discharged during the altercation.

Two suspects are being sought in connection to the robbery.
