MURRAY, Ky. (4/21/14) — The Kentucky State Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Highway 641 south around 8:24 a.m. April 19.
During the traffic stop, Trooper Jody Cash observed several indicators of criminal activities. Trooper Cash obtained consent to search of the vehicle from the driver. During the search, various items of drug paraphernalia, a substance believed to be methamphetamine, and pills believed to be Dilaudid were located concealed in the vehicle.
The operator, Jimmy L. Scott, 42, of Almo was arrested and charged with speeding, no insurance, expired registration, possession of a controlled substance first degree second offense (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance second (Dilaudid), prescription controlled substance not in original container and possession of drug paraphernalia.Scott was lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.
