Princton Man Arrested for Kidnapping

arrested handcuffs blue 300PRINCETON, Ky. (5/5/14) — The Kentucky State Police arrested a Princeton man for kidnapping after conducting a welfare check.

Kentucky State Police responded to a residence on Harmony Church Road, Princeton, to conduct a welfare check on a female Sunday, May 4. KSP Post 2 was contacted by family members of the female who were concerned about her well-being.

Trooper Jonathan Ward arrived on scene and spoke with the female. As a result of the investigation, Dwayne E. Armstrong, 50, of Princeton, was taken into custody without incident.

Trooper Ward charged Mr. Armstrong with the kidnapping - adult (B Felony); unlawful imprisonment second degree (A Misdemeanor); assault fourth degree (A Misdemeanor).

Armstrong was lodged in the Caldwell County Detention Center.

Trooper Ward was assisted at the scene by Sergeant Nick Rice, Sergeant Tim Sales, Trooper Jeff Ayres, and the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department.
