Three Injured in Caldwell County Accident

Accident Injury 01 red 300PRINCETON, Ky. (5/11/14)  -  The Kentucky State Police investigated a single vehicle injury collision at 2:40 p.m., Sunday, May 11 on Kentucky 672.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Robert Cotton of Princeton, Ky., was operating a 2005 Ford pickup northbound on Kentucky 672 when his vehicle dropped off the right side of the roadway. Cotton then over corrected causing the vehicle to leave the left side of the roadway and strike a tree.

Ashley Coleman of Fredonia, Ky., a passenger, was ejected form the vehicle. Both she and Cotton were transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind., for treatment of their injuries. A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was transported to Caldwell County Hospital for treatment.

Trooper First Class Chris King investigated the collision. Lt. Jason Newby, Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, Princeton Fire Department and Caldwell County EMS assisted at the scene.
