Lyon County Traffic Advisory

ky-93-car-boat-accidLYON COUNTY, Ky. (5/13/14) — Kentucky 93 is restricted to one lane near the 15 mile marker in Lyon County due to a truck/boat crash.

A truck pulling a large cruiser on a trailer has jackknifed blocking the roadway. This is along Kentucky 93 about 1.5 miles south of Eddyville near the entrance to Mineral Mounds State Park.

KYTC personnel have set up traffic control and are flagging traffic around the crash site. It is likely the roadway will have to close for a time to allow recovery of the boat which is estimated at about a 40 footer.

Motorists should avoid the area, if possible. The best alternate route is Interstate 24.

Estimated duration 3 hours.
