babyMURRAY, Ky. (6/6/14) — Expectant couples and new parents are invited to 'My Fair Baby' at Murray-Calloway County Hospital Tuesday, June 17 from 4-6 p.m. in the North Tower Lobby off Poplar Street.

The Miracle Moments Maternity Center will be opened up for tours during the event, showcasing the technology and medical resources available for birthing.

Local experts, including pediatricians and obstetricians, will be on hand to talk about breastfeeding, car seat safety, immunizations and other topics important to parenthood. Local vendors will also be in attendance with the latest in baby fashions and accessories.

Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away every half hour. In addition, free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will be available.

“New parents sometimes have a lot of questions about parenthood, ranging from the facilities they’ll have their baby in to how to care for the child at home. Our goal is to bring together all the people who can answer those questions, and to celebrate the miracle that is a new birth,” said Dana Bazzell, director of perioperative services at MCCH.

“My Fair Baby” is free and open to all interested. For more information, call (270) 762-1381.
