Accident Injury 01 blue 300WEIR, Ky. (6/7/14) — Two people were injured and lifeflighted to Evansville after another vehicle struck their vehicle about 10:45 a.m. Saturday, June 7 approximately eight miles north of Marion, Ky. in Muhlenberg County.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Rickey Riley, 66, of Marion, was driving a 1992 Dodge Dakota north on Kentucky 91 when Jared Asbridge, 28, also of Marion, was driving a 1994 Chevy pickup headed south on Kentucky 91.

The report said Asbridge’s vehicle struck Riley’s vehicle causing it to leave the road and overturn. Asbridge allegedly fled the scene and was later located by the Marion Police Department.

Asbridge was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, Marion Police Department, Crittenden County Rescue Squad, Crittenden County EMS and Air Evac assisted at the scene.
