cadiz police arrest6 300CADIZ, Ky. (6/24/14) — The Cadiz Police Department released the following reports.

Sgt. Scott Brown arrested Joshua R. Williams, 32, of Hopkinsville on June 22 following a traffic stop on East Noel Drive. Williams was wanted on a Christian County indictment warrant for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance - First Degree. Williams was arrested and searched. Sgt. Brown found three plastic baggies containing pills in the pants pocket of Williams. The baggies contained morphine, xanax and hydrocodone pills. Cash in increments consistent with the sale of drugs was also found on Williams. During the investigation, it was determined that some of the pills were stolen from a family member who had a valid prescription. Williams was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance - First Degree; two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance - Third Degree; Theft of a Controlled Substance; Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sgt. Scott Brown arrested Deonte T. Byers, 20, of Cadiz on June 18 and served him three arrest warrants. Two of the warrants were Trigg County Circuit Court warrants charging Byers with Probation Violation. The other was a Trigg County District Court arrest warrant charging him with Indecent Exposure stemming from a Trigg County Sheriff's Department investigation.

Officer Aaron Acree arrested Christopher J. Dixon, 38, of Cadiz on June 22 and served him a Trigg County District Court arrest warrant for Flagrant Non-Support. The warrant says Dixon is over $2,900 in arrears of support payments for his minor child.
