Single Vehicle Injury Collision on Fords Ferry Road Involving DUI

drink keys 2MARION, Ky. (7/4/14) — The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on Fords Ferry Road, approximately six miles north of Marion, Friday, July 4, 2014, 8:15 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Danny A. Fowler, 39, of Marion, Ky., was operating a 2012 Toyota Tundra pickup truck southbound on Fords Ferry Road when he lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle exited the left side of the roadway. Mr. Fowler overcorrected which caused the vehicle to cross the road and exit the right side. It struck an earth embankment and came to rest in a ditch.

Mr. Fowler, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to Livingston Hospital & Healthcare Services. He was then flown by PHI to an Evansville, Ind. hospital for treatment. There were no passengers involved.

Trooper First Class Darron Holliman investigated the collision and charged Mr. Fowler with DUI Second Offense (Aggravating Circumstances). Mr. Fowler was cited to court due to his injuries.

Crittenden County EMS, Crittenden County Rescue Squad and a Crittenden County Constable assisted at the scene.
