Pruitt Winkler FBLA Nationa(lr) Robert Pruitt and Eric Winkler CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (7/7/14) — Two 2014 graduates from Calloway County High School, Robert Pruitt and Eric Winkler were named second place finishers in the National FBLA Management Decision Making competition held June 29 – July 2, 2014 in Nashville, Tenn.

Along with the trophy comes a $500 cash award.

The Management Decision Making competition consists of two parts:

  • A preliminary round one hour objective test based on studies in Information and communication systems, human resource management, financial management, business operations, management functions and environment, business ownership and law, strategic management, ethics and social responsibility, marketing, economic concepts, and careers

  • A final round performance component for teams qualifying on the test consisting of an interactive case study of a human resources or other management problem with judges playing the role of a second party and the team acting as managers to present a solution within a 7 minute time period after only 20 minutes of preparation time.
