Cadiz Police Chief Chad Grace charged a Cadiz juvenile with theft under $500 and resisting arrest following an investigation Friday. A school employee had reported her iPod stolen from her classroom in March. On Friday, a juvenile contacted the school employee and offered to sell her the iPod. A meeting was arranged for the victim and juvenile to meet and complete the transaction. The transaction between the employee and the 14-year-old male juvenile was witnessed by Chief Grace, who then took the juvenile into custody. The victim was able to identify the ipod as hers by entering her passcode and unlocking the screen. The juvenile was charged and released to the custody of a parent.
