cadiz police arrest3 300CADIZ, Ky. (7/22/14) — The Cadiz Police Department released the following reports Tuesday, July 22.

Officer Aaron Acree arrested Byron A. Alexander, 25, of Cadiz on July 22 following a complaint of drug activity at Barkley Manor Apartments. While conducting the investigation, Officer Acree arrested Alexander on the strength of a Hardin County District Court arrest warrant charging him with Probation Violation. While at Alexander's residence to serve the warrant, police located a bag of suspected marijuana. Alexander was additionally charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Aaron Acree arrested Angela M. Lewis, 36, of Cadiz on July 21 and charged her with disorderly conduct - second Degree; resisting arrest; and two counts of assault - fourth degree. Police were investigating a physical altercation between Lewis and her daughter. While on scene, police observed Lewis strike her son in the face. Subject actively resisted while being placed under arrest. Subject was under the influence of several narcotics and was taken to Trigg County Hospital for treatment. She was later transferred to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and given a court date to appear to answer the charges.

Officer Roger Knight arrested Charles Smalls III, 43, of Cadiz on July 15 and charged him with criminal trespass - third degree and alcohol intoxication following a complaint on Cunningham Avenue of Smalls continually knocking on the door of a neighbor's house for no legitimate reason.

Officer Aaron Acree arrested Ronald J. Williams, 22, of Hopkinsville on July 21 and served him a Trigg County District Court arrest warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.

Officer Aaron Acree arrested Christopher Wayne Smith, 34, of Cadiz on July 20 following a traffic stop on Joey Drive. A roadside investigation determined Smith's license to be suspended. Trigg County SO K-9 Kilo alerted to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle. Police found a clear plastic bag in the driver's door containing a small amount of methamphetemine. Smith was charged with possession of a controlled substance - first Degree; Operating on a suspended license; rear license plate not illuminated; and failure to produce and insurance card. A passenger, Daniel J. Heinricy, 33, of Cadiz, was arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance; and contempt of court. Officers found a bag containing a small amount of marijuana and residue from pill capsules believed to be Adderall, a Schedule II narcotic. Heinricy was free on bond through Trigg District Court and violated his bond agreement by being arrested.
