car hit pedestrian blank 300CADIZ, Ky. (7/28/14) — Cadiz Police were called to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in the 400 block of East Noel Drive Sunday, 2:10 p.m.

On scene investigation revealed that Keshia Cavanaugh, 25, of Cadiz, was injured when she exited a moving vehicle driven by her mother Sharon Crenshaw, 46, of Hopkinsville. Cavanaugh was sitting in the passenger rear seat before exiting the vehicle. Cavanaugh was treated for abrasions and a possible head injury.

There was no evidence that she was struck by the vehicle. Cadiz Police are still investigating whether Cavanaugh knowingly jumped from the moving vehicle or opened the door and fell. Cavanaugh, who was treated at Trigg County Hospital for her injuries, was not cooperative with police in determining how she exited the vehicle.

Cavanaugh was charged with Alcohol Intoxication and given a date to appear in court due to the nature of her injuries.
