MURRAY, Ky. (8/2/14) — Murray-Calloway County Hospital’s Wellness Works program will be offering free community health screenings in August.
- From 8:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26 at the Weaks Senior Citizen Center, 607 Poplar Street, Murray – Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings.
- From 6-11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27 at the Center for Health and Wellness, 716 Poplar Street, Murray – Blood Pressure, BMI, Waist Circumference, Osteoporosis Heel Scan and Blood Sugar (finger stick) screenings (Call (270) 762-1348 to schedule an appointment).
- From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Marshall County Senior Citizen Center, 1713 Golf Course Road, Benton – Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings.
- From 8:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29 at the Stewart County Senior Citizen Center, 111 General Rice Street, Dover, Tenn. – Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings.
The screenings are free to the communities visited by Wellness Works and are provided to detect diseases in the earliest stages when there are often no symptoms.
