Cadiz Police Arrest Reports - Aug. 4, 2014

cadiz police arrest1 300CADIZ, Ky. (8/4/14) — The Cadiz Police Department released the following reports.

On July 29, Cadiz Police began an investigation into a series of thefts at Barkley Plantation Assisted Living Community on Bypass Road. During the course of the investigation, Chief Chad Grace was able to determine that an employee was responsible for thefts of food from the kitchen and money from at least three residents' rooms over a period of two months. Shannon Pridemore, 39, of Cadiz, was charged with three counts of Burglary - Second Degree and one count of Theft over $500. She was arrested on the warrants by the Trigg County Sheriff's Department on July 31. The Cadiz Police Department is continuing the investigation.

Sgt. Scott Brown arrested Carl Nowicki Jr., 48, of Cadiz on Aug. 2 at 6:11 p.m. and charged him with DUI - First offense (non-motor vehicle) and resisting arrest. Police were called to Powerline and Hillview Drive for a report of an intoxicated man laying next to the road. Nowicki told police that he wrecked his bicycle at the intersection and could not get back on it. Nowicki refused medical treatment at the scene and had to be helped to the police cruiser by police and EMS following his arrest. Once at the justice center, Nowicki refused to get out of the cruiser and resisted when he was physically removed by officers. Nowicki refused all chemical tests at the justice center.

Officer Tyler Thomas arrested Joey Henderson, 37, of Cadiz on Aug. 1 on the strength of two Trigg County District Court warrants charging him with failure to pay $1,136 in court fines.
