CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (8/13/14) — Travis Anderson was recently named as the new Alternative Instructional Facility Director-Principal for the Calloway County Day Treatment Center, Alternative Educational Center and Programmed Recovery In a Disciplined Environment.
Mr. Anderson most recently served as assistant principal at North Calloway Elementary for the 2013-2014 school year. He replaces Ms. Jodi Butler who moved to the Calloway County Middle School where she now serves as assistant principal.
Travis Anderson graduated from Calloway County High School in 1994, then studied at Murray State University, graduating with a double major in Health and Physical Education in 2001. His career in education began at Lewisburg school in Logan County, Ky. as the K-8 P.E. and Health teacher where he worked for 11 years.
In addition to teaching he coached varsity baseball, football, and middle school football and basketball. While in Logan County he received an M. S. in Physical Education from Western Kentucky University in 2006 and continued on to earn his M. A. in Instructional Leadership—School Principal in 2009.Travis and his wife Cristina Anderson have been married for 14 years with three children: Kaitlyn, 13, Stephen, 12 and Grace, 10.
